I didn't enjoy Lavinia's rape, but I did enjoy the metaphor Shakespeare utilizes throughout the second act to characterize this act. Not only in words, but also in the actual action taking place in Act II, Shakespeare parallels the rape of Lavinia with hunting. Like the hunt, Chiron and Demetrius trap their prey. And similar to the hunt, their chase ends in blood and violence. The use of the image of the doe is also fitting. This is not a boar the emperor and others are hunting. It's a doe, symbolic of gentleness and innocence. Lavinia too is pure, but like the doe at the end of the hunt, is tainted in blood.
